I downloaded & installed vmware under Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.
Did everything by the book.
I fire up the interface (uses Firefox for the interface, nothing new there, I've written code before that uses it too)
It asks for login & password,
I have PAM installed so there should be no problem.
It won't accept either my user or root name & password.
I keep hunting around the web.
I re-ran the config file which even asks if you want to keep the default root name & password.
Why won't the f*cker work???

I started my new job on Monday. I need to start drinking lots of coffee again. I found it so hard to stay awake as it neared midday. At least in my last job I had plenty of time by myself so I could nod off for a moment & no-one would know.

Not much to report. I am DJ'ing at Insignia the Saturday again at the so called 'Official Marilyn Manson after party'. I'm co-hosting/MC'ing at 'Melbourne Believer Poetry Slam' in a church on Sunday with a priest. I'm performing a live gig at Blue Velvet for Emzyme 11 on the 30th of October though not sure if i'll be Thing or Sister Thing. Thats the night after Blue Velvet Poetry Slam which I better start advertising. I, I, I, me, me, me etc...etc...etc...

I have a rather tender left shoulder blade after tripping while mowing the back lawn. I was drinking all morning and the lawn was so thick that I removed the catch.

I'm currently listening to Charlie by Life Bitter Soul. I do love that song, when I listen to it I need to keep listening to it over and over again. I should make a fan video for it.

I'm trying to go at least two weeks without a drop of Liquor during the week. It's only been one night and I rushed down to the local IGA and purchaced a large bottle of Lemon, Lime & Bitters which I downed in no time at all. Does that count? I did walk through the liquor section to get it. I really want that extra cash at the end of each week now.

I could not help myself. I finally made another MR Floppy fan video, it's been on my mind for a number of years to do one for this tune. I had already downloaded various Morressey vids to play with but wanted the version of the tune from the original single as it differs greatly from the Album version I have (the last time I heard that version until now was when it was regularly played on 3RRR FM), I got a hold of the single version during the week (it was linked to from a web page I had been to a number of times before but I had not noticed). It then just needed piecing together. There is a subtle change I want to make but it's already on youtube, so I prob won't worry too much...

I slaped together a quick and dirty video clip for MR Floppy's cover of Wuthering Heights. I thought it was amusing at the time, I may redo it with much much more effort at lip syncing with Kate Bush. At the moment its just two cuts I made to the vid and it sorta worked except for a couple of spots.

Many, many, many thanks to those who gave me christmas cards and new years greatings. I will be getting back to those who did. Thanks. xxxxooooxxxxooooxxxxoooo. I had a lovely time with certain family for christmass and got seriously drunk with them. I had a good time on NYE too, I didn't get drunk that night as I had a 'Sister Thing' gig and I enjoyed it. I went to the Espy last night as my pay went through this week and had a really good time watching bands.

I had allot of fun at Enzyme 7 on Friday. My set went ok. I didn't forget too many lyrics. Overall it was a great night, good crowd and fine performances. I didn't get to see everybody. I did get some video footage from both levels.
